ROCK THE BOAT (HOPE FLOATS)

Rock the Boat (Hope Floats) reflects my paternal sea-faring roots, before their immigration to Canada.

Part of a triptych, along with Golden Fields and Outlook, the series highlights a personal search of my family’s history and Filipino ancestry, prompted by the unknown origins of my last name.

Exhibited as part of Open Edition (2017), at Carleton University Art Gallery.
