HALO-HALO: A HISTORY
Halo-Halo: A History is a self-published book of my research exploring how the evolution of the beloved Filipino dessert is a reflection of its colonized past. Paired with illustrations, a timeline and recipes, Halo-Halo: A History chronicle how the dessert reflects influences from Japanese and Chinese settlers and American and Spanish colonizers, finally coming into its own post World War II after the Philippines gains its independence as a republic.
